Bum note: Lady Gaga shows buttocks in see-through flesh-coloured pants for a chilly shopping trip in ice-bound Paris

She's known for her cheeky fashions - but Lady Gaga pushed the boat out when she braved below-zero temperatures in barely-there lingerie and precious little else for a spot of retail therapy earlier today.

The 24-year-old star took being cool to a new level when she popped to the shops in Paris wearing a lacy basque-style bodysuit over some fishnets, topped with a black PVC jacket - though from a distance you could be forgiven for thinking she was totally baring her buttocks.

The star accessorised her outlandish winter look with a broad leather fetish collar around her neck and a pair of black Chanel sunglasses for her trip to one of the city's Bruce Field fashion stores.

The singer is getting ready to perform tonight at the city's Bercy venue after the show was cancelled on Sunday due to the snow storms battering France.

Temperatures have plunged as low as -7C in snowy Paris, but Gaga has clearly put her anger at having to cancel a gig, ahem, behind her.

The New Yorker had also been seen out last night in the French capital in an equally un-winter friendly outfit which exposed her chest to the sub-zero temperatures.

The star was sporting the regal-looking floor-length dusty pink beaded gown as she headed out from the Park Hyatt hotel to nearby Chez Andre for dinner.

She paired the gown with her signature round-rimmed glasses and a delicate vintage-inspired evening bag.

Gaga had been left furious when she was forced to cancel her concert in the city on Sunday due to severe snowstorms - the same ones that are crippling Eurostar services between the UK and the continent.

The Paparazzi star launched an angry tirade on Twitter and apologised profusely to her fans for the cancellation of the show after lorries full of her gear were forbidden from continuing on their journey.

She wrote: 'I love Paris and I love my French fans. I'm sorry little monsters. A photo of storm, I'm stuck on bus,' posting a Twitpic out of the bus window.

The singer was also furious at the French government after they detained her equipment and arrested two of her entourage ahead of the show.

According to reports, they were banned from the roads because of the horrendous weather conditions.

Gaga wrote: 'All 28 of my trucks for the Monsterball were detained by the French government. Two of my employees were arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform. I am furious and devastated, its unfair to my fans and to me.'

She then tried desperately to salvage the situation in an effort to not let down her fans commonly known as 'little monsters'.

'I asked if I could do a stripped version of show, but there would be no sound or power source, its all been detained. I'm so sorry, angry and sad,' she Twittered.

Her request however was denied.
