Being a Hollywood actress allows you to live in the lap of luxury and enjoy holidays complete with all the expensive frills.
And for Kate Beckinsale this was certainly the case as she soaked up the sun in a pretty ruffled bikini.
The 37-year-old actress was sporting her newly blonde locks and her svelte body at a resort in Mexico yesterday.

The British actress was almost unrecognisable with the summery hairstyle as she topped up her tan in the skimpy bikini, but covered her newly dyed tresses with a wide-brimmed straw hat
Although the actress did her best to protect her new hair it seemed the sunshine and chlorine from the pool had already taken their toll.

Kate is on holiday with her husband, movie director Len Wiseman and the couple appeared happy and relaxed on the Mexican break.

The couple put their feet up as they relaxed poolside and soaked up the sun while enjoying a light afternoon lunch.
Kate and Len met on the set of the Underworld, which Len directed and have been married for nearly seven years.
And while newly-blonde Kate covered up, Len was keen to get the full force of the sun's rays and ate his food without shade.

This is not the first time the actress has opted for lighter tresses and she sported lighter locks when she starred opposite Guy Pearce in the 2008 movie Winged Creatures.
While Kate looked happy enough with her new look, she will have to dye her hair back to it's dark colour when she starts shooting new movie Underworld 4: New Dawn in March.
However her new look could be down to another role in The Trials of Cate McCullough, which she is rumoured to be starring in this year.

According to reports Kate is set to star alongside Sienna Miller in the film but it has not been confirmed when production will take place.
She flew to Mexico from Los Angeles International airport where she teamed her new hair with a pretty green beaded maxi dress, mirrored aviator sunglasses and a cream coloured cardigan.
She walked through the airport with her 11-year-old daughter Lily from a previous relationship with actor Michael Sheen.

When Kate returns to the Underworld set she will return to her vampire warrior character Selene, in a role which requires her to take on a darker appearance with black hair and tight catsuit outfits.
And while Kate is regularly included in lists of the world's sexiest actresses, she recently admitted she struggled to accept her appearance when she was younger.
She said: 'I was an awkward child. I would not want to go out of the house unless I wore tartan tights, a stripy skirt and spotted T-shirt. I was a nightmare.
'I was quite fat as a small child. I suddenly had hips and I was about 4ft 11in at 14. Then I grew in height, massively. I am 5ft 7in now.'
