In the 1970's, artist and photographer Eric Staller
experimented with long exposures on his Nikon 35mm film camera. Roaming
the streets of New York with Christmas lights and 4th of July
sparklers, he created these stunning photographs that would "articulate
the particular choreography or architecture of light". Leaving the
camera lens open for several minutes, Staller would move about urban
spaces, outlining cars and stairways to capture these mystifying photos.
